BBC One New Year’s Celebrations
There’s plenty of other shows on TV to keep us entertained, including the BBC New Year’s and Year’s Party.
The show will see Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander – who also starred in the Channel 4 hit series It’s a Sin – throw a lively NYE gig with the help of some famous friends.
In a statement, Olly expressed his excitement for the concert, which was pre-recorded in London on Wednesday 8 December: “I can’t quite believe the BBC are letting me entertain and party with the great British public this New Year’s (& years) Eve!!!
Olly Alexander will be hosting the party, performing some of Years & Years’ best hits as well as some covers.
He’ll be joined by pop legend Kylie Minogue, who Olly collaborated with in October on the (very fitting) single A Second to Midnight.
Kylie Minogue said: “I can’t wait to perform with Olly again.
The New Year’s Party will be aired in two parts tonight.
The first part will be broadcast at 11.25pm and the second half will air from 12.10 midnight.
